CCA is committed to coming alongside our families and the local church to help encourage our students to know who they are in Jesus Christ, and to become disciple makers.
CCA's Spiritual Formation Goals
Students to spend time each day with God in prayer and reading the Bible.
We accomplish this by consistently encouraging our students to make time with God a priority in their life.
How We Plan To Accomplish Our Goals:
· Many teachers pray before class
· Friday prayer closet time in Bible class
· Required Bible elective for all high school
· Students in prayer
· Weekly chapels and Bible studies
Students to see the love of Jesus Christ lived out through the example of our staff.
We accomplish this by on-going training and discipling our staff in their walk with Jesus Christ.
How We Plan To Accomplish Our Goal:
· Daily staff devotionals led by different staff members before school
· Weekly staff time of worship before school
· Summer professional development on integrating scripture and a biblical world view into subject matter
· Coach-led devotionals during athletic practices
Students to love Jesus and love others including their classmates.
We accomplish this by reminding our students about the great commandment and when necessary, we exercise discipline so that they can learn and grow in this area of their life.
How We Plan To Accomplish Our Goal:
· Student pen-pals as mentorship among older and younger students
· DLT meeting with students who are struggling in different areas
· DLT meeting with students with influence and/or in leadership positions
· Teaching biblical conflict resolution, forgiveness, and reconciliation
· Heart-focused discipline verses behavior-focused discipline
Students to have a Biblical worldview and to understand and love the Bible and to see how the entire Old Testament and New Testament points to salvation being found by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
We accomplish this by teaching our students about the Bible in their classes, chapels, sports teams, and at the C.L.A.W. retreat.
How We Plan To Accomplish Our Goal:
· Worldview explicitly taught in bible classes as well as at the CLAW retreat
· Required Bible classes
Students to live out The Gospel of Jesus Christ and His call on our lives to make disciples.
We accomplish this by reminding them of their identity in Jesus and encouraging them to share The Gospel with others. This truth is taught in their classes, chapels, sports teams, and on the C.L.A.W. retreat.
